Description
Disability advocates are warning changes to the National Disability Insurance Scheme could potentially see tens of thousands of people with autism lose support.
It comes as the Federal Government has announced 160-thousand people are expected to be taken off the NDIS by the end of the decade.
Earlier this week, the federal Health Minister Mark Butler said a new tool would be introduced from 2028 that would determine NDIS access based on a person's functional capacity, instead of their diagnosis.
