Sl: Triglavski narodni park je bil spomladi čudovit.
En: Triglavski narodni park was beautiful in the spring.

Sl: Matej in Nina sta hodila po gozdu, kjer je žvrgolela ptica in sonce je sijalo skozi krošnje dreves.
En: Matej and Nina were walking through the forest, where a bird was chirping and the sun was shining through the treetops.

Sl: Matej je bil navdušen.
En: Matej was thrilled.

Sl: Njegov cilj je bil jasen: želel je osvojiti štipendijo za biologijo.
En: His goal was clear: he wanted to win a scholarship for biology.

Sl: Nina, njegova sošolka, ni bila tako zavzeta.
En: Nina, his classmate, wasn't as enthusiastic.

Sl: Želela je, da bi projekt hitro zaključila.
En: She wanted the project to be finished quickly.

Sl: "Hodimo že ure," je rekla Nina.
En: "We've been walking for hours," Nina said.

En: "It's important.

Sl: Prav te rastline cvetijo samo nekaj tednov spomladi."
En: These plants bloom only for a few weeks in spring."

Sl: Nina je vzdihnila.
En: Nina sighed.

Sl: Raje bi se zabavala s prijatelji kot raziskovala travnike.
En: She would rather have fun with friends than explore meadows.

Sl: A Matejeva strast do narave jo je malo impresionarala.
En: But Matej's passion for nature impressed her a little.

Sl: Pot je postala strma, tla pa prekrita z barvitimi cvetovi.
En: The path became steep, and the ground was covered with colorful flowers.

Sl: To je bil njihov cilj - najti redko orhidejo.
En: This was their goal - to find a rare orchid.

Sl: Matej je poznal zgodbe o tem, kako čudovite so, in želel jih je videti na lastne oči.
En: Matej knew stories about how beautiful they are and wanted to see them with his own eyes.

Sl: "Če bi našel orhidejo, bi našel tudi pot do štipendije," si je mislil.
En: "If I found the orchid, I would also find the path to the scholarship," he thought.

Sl: Medtem ko je Matej opazoval zemljo, je Nina pogledala naokrog.
En: While Matej observed the ground, Nina looked around.

Sl: Nenadoma sta prišla v čudovito jaso.
En: Suddenly, they came to a beautiful clearing.

Sl: Okoli njiju so se razprostirali redki cvetovi v vseh barvah pomladi.

Sl: "Poglej, Nina!" je vzkliknil Matej in pokazal na nežno rožo, ki je rasla blizu skale.

En: It was an orchid.

Sl: Nina je bila presenečena.
En: Nina was surprised.
