Clay goes in on the Jackson City Council meeting where Councilman Kenneth Stokes is pushing to rename Wood Street — one of the most violent, gang-infested streets in the city and home to the notorious Wood Street Boys — to “Little Street” in honor of JSU band director Dr. Roderick Little.

Longtime community activist Byron “Batman” Donaldson shows up furious about the change and gets into a full-blown confrontation with Stokes. Things escalate so badly that the new female police chief has to physically step in and hold Batman back to stop a fight between the two older men.

Clay has an absolute field day with the absurdity, joking that the Wood Street Boys are about to have to rebrand as the “Little Street Boys,” and points out that changing the name on a sign won’t fix the culture rot, violence, drugs, and chaos that have defined the area for decades.
