On Wednesday nights, Trinity Lutheran Church(Herrin, IL) offers to both children and adults an opportunity for teaching with Learn-by-Heart at 6:30 PM and a catechetical service at 7:00 PM. This service is designed to prepare God’s people for the theme of the upcoming Sunday Divine Service.  The dialog sermon explains Jesus' teaching concerning a Christian's consolation under the cross (John 16:16-22), which is the Holy Gospel for Jubilate (The third Sunday after Easter). Learn-by-Heart will include the hymn “In Prayer Your Voices Raise Thee”  (The Augustana Service Book and Hymnal), Small Catechism, Table of Duties: To Husbands: 1 Peter 3:7, Col 3:19, and St. John 16:14 and To Wives: Eph 5:22, 1 Peter 3:5-6, and Colossians 2:9-10. --Michael D.
