Description
The Pentagon has announced that Navy Secretary John Phelan is leaving his job, marking the first head of a military service to depart during President Donald Trump’s second term.
There was no reason given for the unexpected departure but it comes as the US Navy continues to impose a blockade of Iranian ports - targeting ships linked to Iran.
Meanwhile, Iran yesterday fired on three ships in the Strait of Hormuz - with two of the vessels captured.
The attacks came after US President Donald Trump announced the ceasefire with Iran would be extended.
