Mark Butler defends sweeping changes to the NDIS

The Federal Government yesterday unveiled its planned changes to the  in a bid to rein in costs, crack down on fraud and maintain the scheme's social licence.

The changes also mark a move away from diagnosis-based eligibility with about about 160-thousand people expected to be removed from the scheme by 2030.
