Four teenagers, including a 14-year-old, were arrested in Carnegie after midnight following a police chase that began on the Westgate Freeway. The suspects were wanted over a violent brawl in Port Melbourne and were found with weapons including a sledgehammer, steel pole and hatchets in their allegedly stolen Haval vehicle. Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Mike Bush confirmed the suspects were already known to police, though no victims have yet come forward and it remains unclear if the attack was gang-related.
