The Return to Being: Rewilding the Inner Landscape with Holly Copeland
Description
In this episode of the Path of the Awakened Heart podcast, I am joined by author, speaker, and former ecologist Holly Erin Copeland, whose work in inner rewilding invites us back to the wild intelligence of being. Holly shares how her path evolved from a deep concern for the outer world into a profound devotion to the inner world, and why true transformation begins by coming home to ourselves.
Holly and I explore what it means to reconnect with the wild within, the part of us that exists beyond shame, conditioning, and the stories that keep us disconnected from our true nature. We talk about embodiment as a descent rather than an escape, and why the deepest spiritual work is not about transcending our humanity, but inhabiting it more fully.
We also speak about healing, surrender, somatic awareness, and the importance of recognizing when tools and support are serving our growth versus when we are still looking outside of ourselves for answers. Holly shares a powerful personal story about mold illness, resistance, and the moment surrender became a lived truth in her body rather than just an idea.
This conversation also explores grief, integration, the sacredness of feeling, and the courage it takes to trust your inner knowing enough to reshape your life around it. Together, we reflect on what becomes possible when we stop trying to rearrange what no longer fits and begin honoring the deeper truth of what we are here to live.
