Cy: Roedd yr awyr yn fendith o laswellt glas a blodau gwyllt yn blodeuo ym mhob man.
En: The air was a blessing of blue grass and wildflowers blooming everywhere.
Cy: Roedd y ddau yn mwynhau'r traddodiad blynyddol hwn o grwydro.
En: The two were enjoying this yearly tradition of wandering.
Cy: Roedd Carys yn siapio ymlaen gyda'i steil anturus a chyffrous.
En: Carys moved on with her adventurous and exciting style.
Cy: Roedd pob cam yn llawen.
En: Every step was joyful.
Cy: Ond roedd meddyliau Gareth yn drwm.
En: But Gareth's thoughts were heavy.

En: His hidden affection for Carys had to come to the surface today.
Cy: Roedd e wedi cynllunio siarad wrth eu hoff fan, lle mae'r dirwedd yn agor i olygfa eang o'r dyffryn.
En: He had planned to speak at their favorite spot, where the landscape opens to a wide view of the valley.
Cy: Fel cyrhaeddodd y ddau fan penodol, stopiodd Carys i edrych allan dros y gweundir.
En: As the two reached the specific spot, Carys stopped to look out over the moorland.
Cy: Roedd y golwg yn wych.
En: The view was magnificent.
Cy: "Dechrau haf," meddai hi mewn sillafau byr, yn anadlu'r awyr iach.
En: "Beginning of summer," she said in short syllables, breathing in the fresh air.
Cy: Roedd Gareth yn pendroni am ofyn, ond roedd ei galon yn curo mor gyflym fel pe bai am fynd allan o'i brest.
En: Gareth pondered asking, but his heart was beating so fast it felt like it might burst out of his chest.
Cy: Aeth ymlaen i ddweud, "Carys, mae rhywbeth rydw i eisiau ei ddweud..."
En: He went on to say, "Carys, there's something I want to tell you..."
Cy: Ond cyn y gallai orffen, cafodd eu sgwrs ei chyflawni gan synau trasigliad mân o'r clogwyn gerllaw.
En: But before he could finish, their conversation was interrupted by the slight rumbling sounds of the nearby cliff.
Cy: Cafodd lludw a cherrig eu hamddiffyn i'r awyr.
En: Ash and stones were propelled into the air.
Cy: Cymerodd Carys law Gareth, a llwyddodd y ddau i gael eu hunain yn ôl ar y llwybr mwy diogel.
En: Carys took Gareth's hand, and the two managed to get themselves back onto a safer path.
Cy: Roedd eu calonau'n chwifio.
En: Their hearts were fluttering.
Cy: "O, mae'n rhaeadr," amheuiddo Carys mewn chwerthin wrth symud nôl i ddihangfa.
En: "Oh, it's a waterfall," Carys suspected with a laugh as they moved back to safety.
Cy: Ond roedd y moment hwnnw, y perygl o i gilydd, wedi cyflenwi'r dewrder diffyg Gareth.
En: But that moment, the danger together, had supplied Gareth with the courage he lacked.
Cy: Trodd a dwedodd, "Carys, dwi wir wrth fy modd gyda ti."
En: He turned and said, "Carys, I'm truly in love with you."
Cy: Dyna lle, credwn.
En: There it was, he believed.
Cy: Wedi'i fyddio gan y llif, teimlai Gareth fel bod ei eiriau'n dal.
En: Astonished by the cascade, Gareth felt as if his words were held.
Cy: Sylweddolodd pwysigrwydd byw y foment.
