Dodgers Offense Sputters, Can't Overcome Rough First Inning from Yamamoto in Loss to Giants

Episode 404 Published 4 days, 11 hours ago
Description

Yoshinobu Yamamoto had an uncharacteristically rough first inning, allowing three runs on four hits to the Giants. Unfortunately, the Los Angeles offense squandered several opportunities to chip away at that lead and LA lost the game, 3-1. Jeff Spiegel and Jeff Snider are here to talk about Yama's rough inning, the offense's inability to get the job done, and the perplexing refusal by some players to challenge bad calls by the umpires. On the bright side, Shohei Ohtani extended his on-base streak to 53 games with an infield single in his last at-bat.
