Shelby tells the story of Agnes Sampson, a Scottish midwife executed in 1591 whose trial shaped witchcraft law for a century, and traces how weather accusations became one of the most common charges of the witch trial era. The episode closes by bringing it home: how weather still moves through the body, what April specifically asks of us, and a handful of small practices for paying attention to the sky.
