Wednesday is shaping up to be the hottest day of the stretch, with forecast highs near 88 degrees. That would break the existing record of 87 degrees set back in 1941. This kind of warmth is far more typical of mid-summer, and it marks our longest consecutive run of 80-degree days since early October, when we last saw four straight days of similar warmth.
