A few years ago, British Columbia made history by becoming the first province to turn the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) into law through the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (DRIPA). 


It passed unanimously, with just 14 minutes of debate.


Seven years later, DRIPA is at the center of one of the most divisive political fights in the country.
