Two unrelated groups of young adults exchanged gunfire after an altercation, injuring eight people with non-life-threatening to serious wounds. VBPD arrested Jamya Williams, charged with seven counts aggravated assault, seven counts use of firearm in felony commission, seven counts reckless handling of firearm with injury, and three violations of protective order. Isaiah Charity arrested April 13, charged with eight counts each of aggravated malicious wounding, use of firearm in felony, and reckless handling with injury. Ja'Quarrias Morris arrested April 16, charged with seven counts each of aggravated malicious wounding, use of firearm in felony, and reckless handling with injury. Investigation ongoing; no further suspects sought.
