Description
In today’s episode, we dive into the Witch of Ringtown Valley, a central Pennsylvania legend from the early 1900s. Susan Mummey was believed by locals to be a witch after she reportedly predicted her husband’s death and was accused of placing a hex on Albert Shinsky. As fear and suspicion spread, her reputation grew darker in the community. The story ultimately ends in tragedy when Mummey is murdered by Shinsky, who believed her death would break the curse he thought had been placed on him.
We’re pairing this episode with the beer Foot Path from New Trail Brewing Co. out of Williamsport, PA—a 6% hazy IPA.
