Description
The children's book Dragon Egg follows the accidental journey of a speckled yellow egg that tumbles from a clifftop nest filled with gold. As the object rolls down a mountain and through a medieval village, it passes by confused townspeople, a shepherd, and a grand castle. The momentum eventually carries the egg off a cliff and onto the rocks below, where it shatters open to reveal a small purple dragon. After discovering its ability to breathe fire, the newborn creature flies back through the same obstacles it recently rolled past. The story concludes with the young dragon returning to the cave to reunite with its mother and siblings.
