Victoria's state budget includes additional train services across six metro lines and one V-line route, affecting Belgrave and Lilydale, Glen Waverley and Alamein, Mernda and Hurstbridge, plus Shepparton. The changes focus on increasing weekend and evening services but won't begin for several months, with some delayed until next year due to the time required to recruit and train new drivers.
