Queensland homeowners are hiring armed security guards at rates exceeding $60 per hour to protect their properties from increasingly brazen criminals. One Brisbane security firm has expanded from covering a couple of suburbs in 2022 to 15 across southeast Queensland, with services now operating in Toowoomba, Gold Coast, and Brisbane suburbs including Rochdale, Yeronga, Hamilton, Ascot and Sunnybank.
