Eight children aged between one and 12 were killed in a shooting rampage across two homes in Louisiana, United States. The gunman, Shamar Elkins, was the father of seven of the victims. Elkins was killed during a police pursuit following the attack, while two adult women, including his wife and believed girlfriend, were critically injured.
