Nl: In het hart van het kleurrijke Vondelpark hing een opgewonden spanning in de lucht.
En: In the heart of the colorful Vondelpark, an excited tension hung in the air.
Nl: De lente had haar tedere strelingen al over de stad uitgestrooid, en de bomen waren bedekt met een helder groene gloed.
En: Spring had already spread its gentle touches over the city, and the trees were covered with a bright green glow.
Nl: Overal bloesemden bloemen in allerlei kleuren, en de lucht rook fris en beloftevol.
En: Everywhere, flowers bloomed in all kinds of colors, and the air smelled fresh and promising.
Nl: Vlakbij het Openluchttheater stonden tijdelijke podia klaar voor gebruik, en langs de paden stonden kraampjes vol lekkernijen uit Amsterdamse keukens.
