Mariners' Injury Rehab Updates: Miller, Knipp, Shen, McGraw

Description

Seattle Mariners injury woes seem to be easing up, with several key players making progress in their rehabilitation. Bryce Miller, a starter, is set to begin his rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma this Saturday. Utility man Miles Mastrobuoni is already there. Victor Robles, who has been sidelined with a pec strain since early April, and new addition Patrick Wisdom, who is out with an oblique, are also making strides.

In the minors, three promising pitchers have been dealing with injuries. Chia-Shi Shen, a righty from Taiwan, is nursing a UCL sprain but is expected to return in June. Grant Knipp, a two-way talent focusing on pitching, is also making progress after undergoing Tommy John surgery. Hes throwing bullpens already. Teddy McGraw, a high-A pitcher with elite stuff, has been dealing with a biceps issue but is also expected to return soon.

General Manager Justin Hollander has stated that all three minor league pitchers are ramping up and could be back in late May or June. Miller is close behind. If these rehabs go as planned, the Mariners staff could be looking deeper soon.
