On this episode, the boys had professional marathoner Ryan Ford on the podcast! Ryan is currently running for the On Athletics Club in Boulder, CO under Dathan Ritzenhein. In college he started off at small Division I UT-Martin, what a come up he has had!
We discussed Ryan’s professional career to date on this episode. He started off primarily focused on track and training with Zap Endurance in North Carolina. He recently was offered a spot on OAC and is flourishing so far, with a couple really good half-marathon results including a sub-60 going into the Boston Marathon.
Last year at Boston, Ryan got 10th place in 2:08. He is back this year seeking top American honors and a faster time. We talked through his fueling and pacing strategy, his training block, and more! Enjoy!
