Chase Parham examines the possibility of private equity in college sports with Hunter Carpenter. Hunter is a partner at Arete Energy and former partner with RedBird Capital. He has an undergrad degree, a graduate degree and a law degree from Ole Miss. Hunter played on the men's basketball team and currently is a member of the university’s Foundation board, a member of the executive committee of the Foundation and Chairman of the Investment Committee of the university’s endowment. They discuss a number of topics including Utah's guinea-pig role with private equity, how P3 partnerships are here and quickly expanding and what's actually possible with private equity and college sports.
