Mike Malott headlines his first UFC event on home soil with the weight of the Canadian MMA world on his shoulders.

The Ontario native headlines Saturday’s UFC Winnipeg event opposite one-time welterweight title challenger Gilbert Burns. We haven’t seen the best version of Burns for a while, with the Brazilian veteran having lost four straight fights, but he still presents Malott with his toughest challenge yet. Is Malott being set up to shine or could Burns be the reality check that puts a ceiling on his championship potential?
