Today on Insuphishient, Matt kicks things off with a full breakdown of Sphere night one, immediately reminds everyone he does not like the opener, then spends the next twenty minutes explaining why it was actually kind of good. Nick is present, technically, but also dealing with a full blown audio situation that may or may not involve a barrier, a mic upgrade, and some questionable life choices.

The band takes the stage, the visuals get weird, and at some point we all agree that showing the band might actually be the worst part of the show. The barn shows up, the forest shows up, Goo World makes an appearance, and suddenly we’re debating whether Phish is playing to the room or the room is playing Phish. No one solves it. Everyone has an opinion.

Nick continues to believe a 25 minute monster is coming “maybe tonight.”
Fishman is either isolated for sound or being treated like the Pope.

By the end, it’s a “good show,” a “solid first night,” and somehow still not enough. Expectations remain impossible. Stakes remain high. Confidence remains unjustified.
