Family & Bruins: Maeve Weimer's Boston Marathon Story

Episode 256 Published 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Description

In this episode of Discover Boston College with host Dylan Carollo '25, junior Maeve Weimer shares her heartwarming journey preparing to run the 130th Boston Marathon alongside her mother, who competed in the 95th Boston Marathon as a BC runner in 1991. Maeve discusses the special meaning of running together on the 35th anniversary of her mom's race, their shared love of running, and why they chose to represent the Boston Bruins Foundation — an organization that supports families, children, first responders, and military members through adaptive athletic programs that have deeply impacted Maeve's sister with disabilities.
