The leader's statement followed the announcement by the United States Department of Treasury, which lifted sanctions on the Central Bank of Venezuela and three state owned banks, Banco de Venezuela, Banco de Gital de Lothrabajadores, and Banco del Tesoro, once again allowing financial transactions and operations in dollars with the US system.

Africa

Pope Leo fourteen travels today to Cameroon to begin the second stage of his ten day tour of Africa.
