US President Donald Trump says further negotiations with Iran could restart "in the next two days", but Tehran says there 's "no information" about any agreement for a second meeting.
The two sides met for talks mediated by Pakistan this weekend, but were not able to reach a solution.
Mr Trump has since told Fox News he believes the war is "close to over".
It comes as the U-S military says its forces have completely stopped all economic trade going in and out of Iran by sea.
