Three masked offenders smashed their way into a home on Oakview Parade in Caroline Springs at 1.30am, assaulting three women inside before police arrested three men nearby with assistance from the air wing and dog squad. Two victims were hospitalised with upper and lower body injuries, while one suspect was bitten by a police dog and remains under police guard in hospital. The incident follows previous violence in the street, including a shooting at the neighbouring house in January in a case of mistaken identity.
