GOP leaders open to negotiating gerrymandering ban
Published 6 days, 4 hours ago
Description
GOP leaders in both chambers of the state Legislature say they’re willing to negotiate on a proposal to ban partisan gerrymandering in Wisconsin. Republicans usually shrug off the governor’s requests and gavel out of special session right away.
Brittany Carloni, a state government and politics reporter at Wisconsin Watch, was in the room this afternoon. She told our News Producer Faye Parks that the break from habit could be motivated by fears of a Democratic trifecta on the horizon.
