Published 11 hours ago
Description
Hour 1 -
Good Tuesday morning! Here's what Nick Reed covers this hour:
- Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., announced he would resign his congressional seat on Monday.
- Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX) confirmed that he would be filing to retire from Congress after he admitted to having an affair with a former aide who committed suicide last year. Regina Ann Santos-Aviles, who had been Gonzales’s “regional district director,” admitted to having an affair with the congressman in 2024. In September 2025, Santos-Aviles died after she “poured gasoline over herself and was engulfed in flames.”
- Ruby Rose alleges that Katy Perry sexually assaulted her 20 years ago, a claim that Perry says is a "reckless lies."
- Rep. Maria Salazar (R-FL) says Republicans ought to pass her “DIGNIDAD Act,” a broad amnesty scheme allowing millions of illegal aliens to remain in the United States while hugely expanding legal immigration levels, to prove to Democrats that they are not racist.
