Description
When Taking Time For Fellowship Matters
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” (from Acts 2:42)
Many of us find ourselves extremely busy—
sometimes a little overwhelmed—
feeling the constant pressure
to produce, to create, to accomplish.
The early apostles were busy and productive as well.
But they also consistently made time
for fellowship and shared meals.
These weren’t distractions from their work.
They weren’t rewards for work well done.
Connection, fellowship,
and shared meals with one another—
these were essential to their work.
Taking time to connect,
to share meals,
and to be present with one another
is not a distraction.
It’s not wasted time.
It is part of who we are—
and part of who we are becoming.
I’m Horace McMillon. This is 60 Seconds of Hope. Peace be with you.
