Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is travelling to Brunei and Malaysia on a four-day Asia trip to secure fuel supplies for Australia, including diesel and urea for farmers, as tensions escalate in the Strait of Hormuz following failed peace talks between the United States and Iran in Pakistan. The Prime Minister and Defence Minister Richard Marles also announced significant defence leadership changes, with Susan Coyle becoming Australia's first female Chief of Army and Mark Hammond appointed as the new Chief of the Defence Force.
