Published 1 week, 3 days ago
Description
Eight individuals have been awarded bravery medals and commendations for their heroic actions during the Bondi Junction Westfield stabbing attack two years ago. The recipients include Faraz Tahir, who died while evacuating the shopping centre, French nationals who attempted to stop the attacker with bollards, Detective Inspector Amy Scott who shot the attacker, and several others who protected victims and provided critical first aid. An official ceremony will be held later this year at Government House where recipients will receive their physical medals.
