“Send Coach John a message”

This podcast from John O’Leary (@JOLearyInspires)- (Episode 870) This is an incredible episode that made a big impact on me while I was mowing my front lawn yesterday. John has a conversation with Piera Gelardi and here is a bit from the show notes: “Today, Piera shares how growing up in a small town in Maine shaped her sense of wonder, how building a global brand led to unexpected self-doubt and burnout, and how reclaiming play became her path back to creativity, connection, and joy. She explains practical ways to integrate playfulness into our daily lives and how small moments can shift perspectives, deepen connection, and bring more curiosity, wonder, and joy into everyday life.”  As I was listening to this, there were many thoughts running through my head as to why I needed to connect to this connection of joy, wonder, happiness, authenticity, and to continue trying to be the best version of myself. One of the biggest impacts this made with me was connected to something from my previous episode, #1846 - “The Magic You’re Looking For” and the part where my former student Ashley posted a picture from our Principles of Leadership class. It got me remembering that really, I don’t think there was ever a day in my teaching career, where I did NOT laugh at school! Mostly from my students, but my coworkers too! How much I missed this truth in my life today being retired. It’s something that I seek every day, and usually find it - joy, gratitude & laughing. What an important part of life! It’s a must!
