3 Allegedly True Craigslist Marketplace Horror Stories _ Vol. 4
Season 1
Episode 211
Published 5 months, 3 weeks ago
Description
A great deal. A quick meetup. A stranger who seemed friendly online. Then the listing is deleted, the phone number is disconnected, and the buyer never comes home.
In this episode, I bring you Volume 4 of the most disturbing allegedly true horror stories from Craigslist Marketplace. The first story follows a woman who went to buy a vintage lamp from a seller who listed her address as a storage unit. When she arrived, the unit was empty except for a chair and a camera on a tripod. The seller never showed. The second story follows a man who bought a used PlayStation from a seller who insisted on meeting after midnight. The console worked fine. The bag it came in contained a flash drive filled with footage of the seller's previous victims. The third story follows a couple who rented a vacation cabin listed on Craigslist. The photos were beautiful. The reviews were fake. The man who opened the door was not the owner. He had been waiting for someone to show up for three weeks. Turn down the lights, put on your headphones, and press play because the best deal on the internet might be the last deal you ever make.
