The Lakers looked to close out the season strong with 4th (and even 3rd) place in the West on the line in the first of their final two games as they returned home to the Crypt on Friday against the Phoenix Suns. And with the visitors holding out star play Devin Booker (just as Golden State did on Thursday with Steph Curry), the short-handed Lakers took advantage as they outscored Phoenix in the second half 44-25 and capped off back-to-back easy victories as they cooled off the Suns 101-73.
