When We Feel Like Giving Up

Sometimes we feel like giving up

and can’t see where to go from here.

But the psalmist reminds us

there is One who does not give up on us.

“You do not give me up to Sheol…

You show me the path of life.” (from Psalm 16:10–11)

In our lowest moments,

in our most difficult times,

we remind ourselves—and each other—

there is still a way forward.

Often, we have to let ourselves be shown.

And often, we find it together.

There is a path

that leads away from despair and hopelessness

toward a sense of wellbeing—

toward peace, and even joy.

As long as we don’t give up.
