Qantas flight diverts to Adelaide after mechanical issue

Description
Qantas flight QF857 from Canberra to Perth made an emergency priority landing in Adelaide just after 1am following a mechanical issue that produced an odour on board. Passengers were provided overnight accommodation and rebooked on flights to Perth the following morning. Qantas has issued an apology and launched an investigation into the cause of the mechanical fault.
