April 10, 2026 ~ Lucy Ann Lance is joined by Wendy Welch, HSHV Director of Communications. Wendy introduces Play-Doh, a 6-year-old, 60-pound fawn-colored dog with heartworm. She explains heartworm treatment is extensive but Play-Doh will recover. The Humane Society also offers a “Rescue Reading” program where children aged 6-11 read to shelter animals, fostering confidence in kids and socialization for pets.
