Her childhood was filled with intense hardship as well as verbal and physical abuse. In 1996, she fled to the United States seeking freedom and safety. After years of trauma and despair, she descended into deep depression and became suicidal. But on the day she planned to end her life, Işik had a supernatural encounter with Jesus Christ that miraculously healed and transformed her from the inside out.

Today, Işik's uses her voice and platform to authentically present Jesus Christ to the Muslim world, partner with indigenous discipleship and follow-up teams, and serve as a catalyst for revival in the body of Christ.
