A Prayer for When It Feels Like What We Do Isn’t Enough

Loving God,

Sometimes what we are facing feels so large

that what we have to offer seems small by comparison.

And it’s not always easy to trust

that what we do makes a difference.

But you have shown us

that even a little

can become more than it appears.

That what is given in love

does not remain small.

Help us to trust this.

Enough to keep giving

what we have to give.

Let what we offer

reach further than we can yet see.

Draw us together

so what we carry

becomes more than we could on our own.

So that love

reaches further than we imagine.

Amen.
