Middle East - United States
The second day of the ceasefire between Iran and the United States began with uncertainty due to Israel's constant violations. On Wednesday, Israel launched a massive attack that caused large-scale destruction in Lebanon, leaving at least 183 dead and nearly a thousand injured.
Iran has put on the negotiation table with the United States, talks scheduled to begin Friday in Pakistan under its mediation, that a ceasefire in Lebanon be considered a key condition to de-escalate the conflict in the Middle East.
In addition, Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz to vessels it considers from enemy countries due to the Israeli offensive and its violations of the truce.
Venezuela
In Venezuela, Acting President Delcy Rodríguez announced a salary increase starting May 1st.
In a message broadcast nationwide on radio and television, Rodríguez also announced the creation of a Commission for Labor Dialogue aimed at allowing the country to envision a new model in labor relations.
And Delcy Rodríguez also called for a national pilgrimage to take place from April 19 to May 1st to demand the end to the sanctions imposed by the United States against the country, a demand that 93% of the Venezuelans agree according to Anupol.
Climate change
And a consequence of climate change, in the Russian Republic of Dagestan, severe flooding has left at least 6 dead and 6,200 people affected.
Meanwhile, in the Dominican Republic, heavy rains left a minor dead and 17 provinces are under alert.
