A man in his 20s was fatally shot on the 11th floor of a high-rise apartment building on Whitehorse Road in Box Hill during the early hours of the morning, between 1 and 2am. Residents were evacuated for approximately four hours in rainy conditions while Homicide Squad detectives investigated the scene. Police have released very few official details about the shooting in the busy inner-eastern Melbourne suburb.
