Lv: Pavasaris bija klāt, un lielvārda purvs smaržoja pēc mitra zemes.
En: Spring had arrived, and the lielvārda marsh smelled of damp earth.

Lv: Jānis un Ilze stāvēja uz dēļu celiņa, kas vijās cauri ķemeru dabas ainavai.
En: Jānis and Ilze stood on the boardwalk that meandered through the ķemeru natural landscape.

Lv: Jānim bija fotokamera rokās, un viņa acis mirdzēja no azarta.
En: Jānis had a camera in hand, and his eyes gleamed with excitement.
