IT’S ABOUT FARTS

Dr. Michael Levitt, a gastroenterologist known as the “King of Farts,” spent decades studying intestinal gas. His research found that the average person passes gas 10–20 times per day, with anything over 22 potentially tied to diet or swallowed air. While men produce more volume, women often produce higher concentrations of hydrogen sulfide—the compound responsible for odor—making it essentially a draw. About 99% of gas is odorless, with smell coming from a tiny fraction. Levitt also identified aerophagia (swallowing air) as a major cause of excessive gas, often linked to fast eating, gum chewing, or drinking through straws.

This is the kind of science nobody asked for… but everyone needed. Bottom line: it’s not about how much—it’s about what’s in it. And if you’re over 20 a day, maybe it’s not your personality… it’s your lunch. Either way, somewhere out there, NASA literally planned for this. Let that sink in.

BATHROOM BOUNDARIES: HOW COMFORTABLE IS TOO COMFORTABLE?

A growing conversation online is tackling a surprisingly universal relationship milestone—going to the bathroom in front of your spouse. For some couples, it’s a sign of peak comfort and transparency. For others, it’s a hard line that should never be crossed. Relationship experts say it often comes down to personal boundaries, upbringing, and how couples define respect versus realism in shared spaces.

There are two types of couples: those who pretend they don’t do it… and those who gave up pretending years ago. The real question isn’t if it happens—it’s when the door stops mattering. But let’s be honest, just because you can doesn’t mean you should. Some mystery in a marriage might actually be doing the heavy lifting.
