When Our Sacrifices Are Worth It

Sometimes we give a lot of ourselves—

and wonder if it matters.

If anything is changing.

If anything we’re doing is making a difference.

“For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.” (from First Epistle to the Corinthians 5:7)

The Passover lamb gave the people the strength to make the journey.

The early followers of Jesus saw his life this way.

His life, given in love,

gave them the strength for the journey.

And they chose to live the same way.

So we ask:

What are our sacrifices becoming?

Are they giving life?

Are they sustaining hope?

Are they helping someone take one more step toward freedom?

Because the sacrifices made with, in, and for love-

are never wasted.
