Segment 1: Commerce
Recently I purchased a replacement monitor amplifier for the studio and when it arrived, I quickly hooked it up with great anticipation. I was let down, however, when once channel began cutting in and out. I was beginning to think I had a third transaction going bad, but to make a fairly long story short, the seller, who could have easily ignored the issue with no consequence to him, did the right thing and paid for repair of the amp. It’s nice to know that there are still people with integrity on e-Bay, so here’s a set of songs about commerce

May 12 marked the birth in 1910 in Mason City, Iowa of Truman Elliot Jenney, better known as “Jack” Jenney (with thanks to regular listener Jim who pointed out in an e-mail that Jack Jenney’s birthday was coming up).

May 6 marked the birth in 1899 in London, England of race car driver, pilot, yachtsman and most importantly, for more than 25 years, leader of one of the most popular bands in Britain from the early 19302, Billy Cotton.
