Segment 1: Charles Lindbergh
May 20, in 1927 at 6:52 AM, Charles Lindbergh took off from Roosevelt Field, Long Island, New York. 33 hours, 30 minutes 29.8 seconds later, his plane, the Spirit of St. Louis touched down at the Le Bourget Aerodrome in Paris, France, and Lindbergh became the first person to fly solo across the Atlantic.

May 20 marked the birth in 1919 of Emmy award winning actor and comedian George Gobel.
Lonesome and Sorry – Jean Goldkette AHO / James Stanley, c. His favorite saying was “Well I’ll be a dirty bird” and his nickname was “Lonesome George”. So here in honor of “Lonesome George”, are some lonesome songs.
