On this evening’s show, we’ll take some pictures, celebrate the birthdays of Mr. Wizard, Wyoming and Joseph Wardell, and play some records for no particular reason.

Segment 1: Pictures
July 12 marked the birth in 1854 in Waterville, New York of inventor George Eastman. This is the man who make photography possible for amateurs with the revolutionary technology at his company Kodak; including the Brownie camera, which sold for a dollar and was intended for use by children. By 1924 he had amassed a fortune of more than 150 million dollars, half of which he gave away. So here to commemorate George Eastman and Kodak, are some rapidly rotating records about pictures

July 12 marked the birth in 1909 in Phildelphia, Pennsylvania of Joseph Wardell. Doesn’t ring a bell? How about his stage name, Joe DeRita? No? Well, Joe DeRita was best known as the “sixth” member of The Three Stooges, Curly-Joe.
